The establishment of an organization representing nursing agencies became apparent when the industry needed to speak with one voice. The Association of Nursing Agencies of South Africa (ANASA) was founded on 23 November 1994 under the auspices of the then South African Nursing Association. The newly established Association was the brainchild of Mr Angus Smith and Ms Leslie Nunan, who chaired the founding meeting. The proposed Constitution was unanimously accepted. An Executive Committee with Ms L Nunan as the first Chairperson was elected. ANASA has grown to an organization representing 50 plus agencies. A Section 21 Company was registered by ANASA in August 2001. |
